About Us

The Smart Talented Leaders (STL) Scholars Program also referred to as the STL Scholars Program was formed in honor of my parents, Mr. & Mrs. Harold & Jean Bobbitt, Sr., who both had dedicated their lives to working in the field of career and technical education.

The STL Scholars Program will support and mentor first-generation, minority and underprivileged high school and college students from all cultural backgrounds who are pursuing a degree or a certificate in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) discipline at a Missouri college, university, or trade school.

The STL Scholars Program will also partner and build relationships with businesses and organizations within the community to make available resources and opportunities to enhance both personal and professional skills for our students, and prepare them to be successful in college and beyond.

Although some statistics say that college is not for every student, the opportunity to learn and earn credentials through education, training, and/or career exploration can be accomplished by every student. Therefore, your support is greatly appreciated!

As the official gift-receiving agency, the Smart Talented Leaders Scholars Program, Inc. is an independent tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. All donations to the STL Scholars Program are tax-deductible, as provided by the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
